INSTRUCTIONS:

The project is to create an information sheet or pamphlet about one of the diseases we have studied.  You should post in the Extra Credit Discussion Area which topic you are choosing.  Once you post there, your topic is off-limits for other students to use.

To create your information sheet, I suggest Microsoft Word or Power Point as you can add images and special text to make your project visually appealing.  If you use Power Point, be sure to create a handout with your slides that is in a one page handout or brochure format. A Power Point slide show does not fit the requirements for the project.  After creating your project, save it as a pdf and submit to the dropbox as a pdf using the attachments button.  This will prevent most formatting changes and make it easier for everyone to see your project.  All projects submitted in the dropbox are viewable by the rest of the class and I welcome your comments to each other in the discussion forum.  The extra credit is worth a maximum of 15 points and the points will be determined using the following criteria:

5 points:  Overall layout and design

5 points:  Accuracy of Information

5 points:  Relevance of Information

If you use a reference or picture from a website, you must cite it within the information sheet or brochure (it may be helpful to simply cite it under the picture).
