NameCourseLecturerDateAdmission StatementDuring my spring break from my University on 2012, I took part in a team project at a centre for youth with disabilities. The project involved a group of volunteer students from Universities around Illinois. Prior to participating in the activity I took time to get understand the situation of youth with disabilities, which extensively prompted me to want to participate in the project all the more. Globally, there are 650 million people with various forms of disabilities. Half of these are indeed youth, with the developing countries accounting for 80 percent of these. The centre was for youth with developmental disabilities, notably, 4.6 million Americans live with this kind of disability. It was my first involvement with the disabled and indeed my first experience in that kind of environment.I consider team work as the ability to pull together for a common goal, the ability to channel ones individual achievements towards an organizational objective.
