1. How many reasons do you see for continuing to love and live the Bible in 2 Timothy 3:14–17? What are they?

2. Look at the list in 2 Timothy 3:16. Are they four different benefits or four ways of saying the same thing? If different, how would you define each?

3. How do good works relate to faith and salvation in 2 Timothy 3:14–17?

1. Based on this passage, what role does knowledge play in our growth in godliness? Be specific. Reference specific phrases in the text.

2. According to these verses, why has God given us promises? How do you know this is the reason, and not some other phrase in the text?

3. How are God’s promises working to make us more godly? How do they battle sinful desires still in us? Explain in detail from what the text actually says.
