This article analyzes what impacts work activities have on the health and well-being of older Americans and also concludes that it is important for seniors to voluntarily decide whether they will retire or not because it can influence their physical and psychological well-being. For this research, the author used a cross-sectional approach that was based on data of the Americans’ Changing Lives Survey. The validity of this survey in a strength of this research article, as it was given to a large sample size over a period of time enhancing its generalizability. This article can help make my second point of proof, abolishing mandatory retirement being helpful to the health of the elderly, be more persuasive.
