In the past and even a few cases today, some of the medical practitioners do not take time to explain to patients, the kind of care that they are eligible to. As such, in situations where the patient should have been given the opportunities to contribute and actively participate in their treatment are denied and the patient is kept in the dark about their treatment options. This is a violation of any patient as they should be given an active role in matters that concern their own health. Every other person has their own values and believes, be they religious or just personal and medical practitioners should be in a position to understand the diversity and respect the will and decisions made by their patients.
