The small business sector constitutes an important dimension of the economy in almost every developed and developing country. The advent of the global economy has had a major impact on the small business sector.

Write a report (2000 words):

Discuss both the importance of entrepreneurship and the small business sector internationally and its role in global competition.

Task

1. Research some of the common issues facing entrepreneurs and small businesses and how such issues are being addressed by governments or other agencies.

1. With particular emphasis on entrepreneurship and the small business sector, research the political, social and technological environments of a country of your choice, eg the UK or your home country. 

1. Research a handful of other countries in the same way and compare and contrast these with your chosen country.  This analysis will form the basis of your report’s main discussion.  Please note that you will need to explain the reason for your choice of countries.
