Seventy-two days later, she filed for divorce. Sane people do not spend $10 million on a wedding and get divorced months later. Then again, sane people are not Kim Kardashian. Her father was a famous lawyer, but her fame came from an explicit video that featured her then-boyfriend Ray J. Since her debut on the Hollywood scene, the thirty-one year old has been surrounded by controversy. Her relationships with famous athletes and singers were more than public, especially due to the reality show she shared with her family. The problem with Kim is that fame is her kryptonite. Just watching one episode of “Keeping Up with The Kardashians,” you can tell how large her ego has inflated compared to her sisters. It`s embarrassing, and now the NY Times and other sources have banned conversation about her, calling it “Kardashian Fatigue.” Here are some ideas to help our little Kimmycakes settle down and stay out of the headlines for the rest of our lives. To start, we`d have to gather information about her and her checkered relationship past. She`s been in many rumored (and real) relationships with other celebrities. Her most famous relationship was with Reggie Bush, a star in the NFL. Their relationship ended on terrible terms, and he had no comment on her recent nuptials. However, this is not Kim`s first marriage. She was married back at the age of 20 to Damon Thomas, but obviously that relationship didn`t work out too well either. The details of her relationships have been made very public, and it`s not a good thing. So where do we go from here? Next, Kim should make goals to save athletes in the future from getting their hearts broken. Obviously, one of her long term goals is to get married and have children, because watching her obvious jealousy towards her sister`s happy lives on reality TV was downright embarrassing. Her short term goals should be to get to know someone out of the limelight, behind the cameras, and marry them when the time is right. Also, while she`s at it, she should just get a real job (being famous for having a big butt is not something to be proud of). On communication, she just shouldn`t say anything. Not everything in her life has to be told to the press. She spent $3,000 in ten minutes? She takes her nephew shopping? She bought herself an engagement ring? All these things make Kim less likeable, and less likely to find someone who she can have a real (with no press involved) relationship with. If all goes well, in the end, she can find someone to be happy with. Hopefully soon Kim gets her act together so we can stop hearing about her ridiculous life." Respond: "You cracked me up with this one, it is hilarious the way you wrote it. First, I have no idea who this Kardasian character is but I see glimpses of her name and face when I cruise through the Huff Post. You have me kind of curious about her now but from your well worded description she sounds like a hopeless cause that probably needs another 2 decades of life to straighten out and a waste of media space. Thanks for the tongue-in-cheek analysis of this person. I really enjoyed it." ---------------------------------- Here are 2 articles that I want you to response : 1. "My story is from yesterday morning`s online Star-Advertiser, although the byline is by an Associated Press writer. The story has been spreading rapidly on the internet, with coverage from Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, and others. According to the report, last week a young couple and their toddler were shopping in a Honolulu Safeway store. They were hungry, and picked up two sandwiches while shopping. The pregnant wife ate one of the sandwiches while in the store, saving the wrapper to be scanned at checkout. They paid $50 for their other groceries, but forgot to pay for the sandwiches. A security guard detained them; they were arrested for shoplifting and taken to police headquarters for several hours. Their three-year old daughter was picked up by Child Protective Services and spent the night in foster care. Phase one of the public relations process is Evaluation. The first thing that Safeway officials should do is investigate the incident thoroughly, to see if the store manager overreacted. The newspaper article (http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/133000243.html), quotes a company spokesman saying that “Safeway will review the police report and store security footage before deciding whether to press charges.” Phase two of the process is Planning. Safeway Corporate executives need to review company policy regarding minor thefts, and make changes if necessary. They should plan additional training sessions with store managers nationwide, and possibly do a customer satisfactions survey on their website. They could make a contest for customers with a question like “What was your worst experience shopping at Safeway?” (The winner gets a certificate for $100 worth of groceries). Phase three of the process is Communication. After banning the customers from the store for a year, having them arrested, and having their child taken away, the store manager should offer them an apology. The store should issue a written apology online, and explain the situation to the general public. I believe that the incident was actually an oversight, not an attempted theft. The grocery chain has a lot to lose in customer goodwill in a case like this. Especially with the speed of news traveling on the internet, it is fast becoming a national story and angering customers everywhere in the country. The couple has already retained an attorney, and a swift apology might prevent a lawsuit for Safeway. The last phase in the public relations process is Evaluation. After the customer survey (or contest), the company should compile results and share them with their stores. Another series of manager sensitivity training would probably be necessary at this time." 2: " Kim Kardashian looked beautiful at her fairytale wedding to Kris Humphries. Here is the example for how to response to #1:"I also came across this story when looking for a company/person to do my public relations story on. This is a touchy story because Safeway was just reacting to a theft, but it was looked at as harsh. I think the story wouldn`t have been so controversal if the woman wasn`t pregnant with her family. I mean if the story read teenage boy get thrown in jail after forgetting to pay for a sandwich people may think he was actually stealing. Just because this woman was pregnant it gets told as poor her. It`s an honest mistake and I don`t feel Safeway was that much in the wrong. But I do see how an apology and the other steps you listed would help to diffuse the situation and rebuild the supermarkets image. I drink the drinks grocery stores sometimes before buying them and i would hate to be arrested as a thief if i forgot to pay for the drink. So i can see how this was harsh but at the same time the woman had a responsibility to remember to pay."

RespondName:Course:Professor Name:(November 10, 2011) RespondArticle 1This is a story of overreaction and misjudgment; how can the security guard detain a pregnant woman and a toddler for shoplifting. I am not certain that they were innocent but they incident deserved more probing before any action was taken; but I don`t agree with the actions of the store manager and security guard. For instance, how comes they ate the sandwiches without any shopping attendant noticing them, and would the pregnant woman be so damn to eat the sandwich and retain the wrapper if she was shoplifting. There are more questions than answers in this case.In the evaluation of the case, those found guilty would be held accountable and this should be a lesson to those who would like to molest others because they have authority. The manager should answer for the mishandling and illegal detaining of the two.In the planning phase, Safeway should be o...
