1.1          Introduction to the Module

This module will invite you to critically reflect on the practice of sustainable business. It will explore a number of alternative approaches to business which stem from a broader outlook of business including business ethics, globalisation, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Citizenship, social enterprise, and the sharing economy. This module encourages you to recognise the diverse nature of the current workforce and the advantages this can offer to employers. You will explore both the ethical and social frameworks underlying the management of, for example, diversity, equity, and justice, as well as challenging the policies and practices that support the effective management of ethics and sustainable practice within a businesses.
