Data analysis- plays a major key role in our project because the total research output based on the analysis of the collected and refined data. The analysis of data collected from different sources and users. We majorly focused on the qualitative approach because if our team has chosen quantitative analysis option it’s impossible to get the results accurately.

It is important to select the appropriate qualitative analysis types because it helps to cover the research analysis. Explanatory research deals with the description of the causes of specific phenomena along with prediction of future occurrence of phenomena. In this case of exploratory research, formation of research problem and hypothesis as well as clarification of distinctive concepts is associated with the topic of research.

In the present report, our team has been selected descriptive research design in order to make clarification of the issue Moreover, in order to understand the challenges faced for installing the location based system, selection of descriptive research design is appropriate.

Furthermore, the qualitative data analysis- analytical tools made it possible for analysing the data with the better outcomes. Tools like Watson analytics and Excel/spread sheet. Watson is one of the best analytic tool- provides the best results and very fast speed to analyse the data.  The use of excel was better option because it provide us with better results.

Proposed Artefacts:

Present project is mainly aimed to create design specifications for developing effective location based attendance system and to conduct feasibility study to integrate payroll systems with new system and also to integrate existing system with new system.  The location based attendance system project has been divided into two phases depending on the required deliverables.

Phase I:

Project Charter: Firstly, we did project charter in week 4. By this week, the team got project definition and frame line. It was the first step of the research. After completing project charter, a proper idea about the project was developed.

The Project Charter outlines about the goals of the project like conducting research to determine and propose an efficient solution to integrate new location based attendance system with existing systems to identify vulnerabilities, issues and risks with the new system and to identify if there is any compatibility to integrate the new project with the payroll systems. The report also states the issues associated with the current project like compatibility issues, network issues and security threats.

Relevance Report: In week 6, we started doing work in relevance report. We compared different case studies with our project and make some changes in it and found some relevance methods, tools, and the technique of our project.

The main aim of this research was to identify effective solution for the attendance management system which helps the clients of ADTC solutions to overcome the issues faced by its clients with existing attendance system. Technology Acceptance Model, Organizational learning theory, Waterfall model are effectively understood from this research and they are found to be useful in conducting the present research.

Issues and characteristics of infrastructure of location based attendance system, including security threats to database server, importance cloud based attendance system, application platform including Android, IOS and Windows, ERP modules including fingerprint recognition, attendance and performance, data analytical tools and decision making software are effectively discussed.

Project presentation: It was the presentation given in front of different supervisors to get the feedback on the studies and research done by the team. It helped the students to get the idea whether the project was going in the right direction or otherwise.

Project report: This was the final artefact of the phase I which represented the whole execution of the phase I project in which adopted data collection methods, analysis methods as well as different studies were shown formally.

Phase II

Group presentation: This was the first part of the phase II where each project team represented themselves to get the final approval from the supervisor and lecturer in regards to the finding and protocol followed in the project during phase I. In this presentation, we included all the tasks and deliverables we produced in phase1 project and also added some relevant bullet points of the research we did in the first three weeks. After which we suggested our proposal to our client.

Data Collection Report: This documentation exhibited the progress of the project which represented the different situations, studies, considerations, data collection techniques and details of the tools and techniques used in the project. After the acceptance of our proposal to the client, we have started preparing a draft of the data collection report. The report includes of theories or frameworks adopted to address the problem, the data collected, data analysis techniques, preliminary observations, description of the artefacts to be developed, and the execution plan for the completion of the project.

Artefact presentation: It is the major artefact which helps the team in presenting the final outcome or artefact of the project in the presence of lecturers, supervisor and our client. In this presentation we need to provide the explanation of the project problem, the adopted methodologies to solve the project problem, the data collection and analysis report and the detailed description of the artefacts.

Project final report: This is an extended and the formal version of the artefact presentation. This step of the phase exhibits the whole scenario and outcome of the project. In this report, we will suggest the final plan of our project and execute it with our client. The final project report basically includes all the above mentioned deliverables in phase I and phase II namely, project charter, relevance report, final report for phase 1, brief project presentation , data collection report, the content of the artefact presentation along with the summary of findings, limitations and recommendations.

Project Completion Plan:

In order to organize and complete the project in timely and maintaining quality as well as financially responsible manner, it is required to schedule the project in careful way. Effective scheduling of a project acts an important role in order to ensure success of the project. In addition, it is required to keep the project on the right track that can be possible with the help of project schedule. In addition, setting realistic time frames and assigning the resources properly is helpful to manage the quality of the project, it is required to manage and decrease errors involved in the project. It results in minimizing costs as well as increasing satisfaction of the customers or clients. The vital factors are required to include documentation, financial management as well as quality assurance for the project. The project completion plan is represented with the final deliverables from week 1 to week 24. The main activities have been tabulated in the following manner.
